Set
in a privileged position in Portichol, Jávea, with spectacular sea and
coastal views, our Primary School is approximately 2 km from the
Secondary site.
We
have excellent outdoor recreational facilities, including gardens and a
swimming pool, as well as specialist language and music rooms, a fully
equipped computer suite and infant and junior libraries. Our pupils
benefit from mixing with children of many different nationalities in
small classes.
Our commitment to small class sizes ensures the school has retained its family atmosphere during expansion, enjoying
good relationships with parents and children. Our excellent and
enthusiastic teaching team is one of our greatest strengths. We have
achieved a reputation for providing a quality education, of which we
are very proud.
The
majority of Primary pupils transfer to our nearby Secondary school at
the end of Year 6. Many complete their education at XIC and enter
universities throughout Europe.
Our
full Spanish programme is introduced from the age of 5. We also offer a
wide variety of extra curricular activities in English and Spanish, including karate, tennis,
football, piano, guitar, recorder, sport, golf, drama, art, computing and gardening. Children
also have the opportunity of joining our orchestra and choirs.
Parents
are encouraged to come in to school and help in many different ways,
including hearing children read and supporting ICT and art lessons.
Social and fundraising events are organised by the ‘Friends of XIC’, throughout the year.
Although
the best time to visit us is during term time when you can meet our
children and teachers, you are welcome to make an appointment to visit
at any time during the year.
